I started this track on the train, from Sydney to Newcastle. I was curious about a vocal sample I’d found, and I played with it in a way that started to give rise to particularly psychedelic, dreamy impressions that then pulled in other sounds and layers to harmonise with the tone. After a half day more tinkering with the structure of the song, I realised I’d inadvertently created something much more mature and fully realised than I had set about doing.
